2007 topps triple threads #174 and other variations

hey guys,
I am making a list of the topps variations i need, or would like to get for my collection. In the 2007 topps triple threads set the Standard Catalog lists a couple variations where players have A and B variations (which I have no idea what the differences are)
but one card has #174 has an A/B variaton of 2 different players
A is Chris Ray
B is Ervin Santana
Anyone help shed light on the subject
thanks
