Have had my eye on these for a while, and finally took the plunge. Received it yesterday and really like it--two crocodilians for the price of one! Do not like a lot of the other FM designs as they often just feature dictators or Presidents for life, but are some very pretty designs, too.
Anyone else collect these out there?

back and then replaced it, but that was enough to begin some colorful toning on a few pieces.

There seem to be many subsets of these, some seem like medals, others interrupted proof/mint sets made by Royal or Canadian mints so make part of a series; others were struck with coins actually entering circulation and seemed even to have served in commerce. Others are quasi-accepted [like that term?] since as with the issues with Panama they have a distant link to US coinage. The Aussies have been getting in the act a bit so a few of the Papua New Guinea issues are quite popular.
I like the Birds of Belize series when they can be purchased for not much above bullion, though there a few exceptions...As a whole they are a lot more interesting than looking at rows of Liberty nickels even if dated 1885 and I know that is an heretical thing to say.
Well, just Love coins, period.
