A wonderful random act of kindness - Mike aka 'thekid8' - thank you so much!

I received a PM the other day from Mike, who is our resident Gary Carter collector. He told me that he had something he'd like to send my way that he thought I could find a place in my collection for.
Today I received a very nice letter which read,
"Hey Geordie, I am a big fan of your Butler collection - it reminds me of my Gary Carter collection. You also go after that 'unique', 'odd' and 'different' Butler item which makes the chase extra fun.
I sent a request to Mr. Butler and explained that it was not for me but for the BIGGEST Brett Butler fan out there. I sent 3 'cards', 2 for him and 1 that I hoped he would sign. Well as you can see he did.
I have also sent you an extra unsigned copy. I hope you enjoy and keep grabbing those unique items."
So here's what Mike put together for me. Since joining these boards, several members have reached out to me in special ways, and every one of them is so appreciated. As we all know, this community is capable of so much good. Scoundrels come and go, but for me this place is special, and I'm proud to belong to this particular group of collectors. Mike, thank you very much for your kindness and for taking the time to put something special together for me.

I was actually thinking that the picture in the Atlanta uniform reminded me of the '89 UD Murphy reverse negative.

I am so glad you can find a place for it -- a lot of thanks goes to Mr. Butler for the signing part -- I just supplied the paper and stamps. I have always been a fan and I was thrilled he played for the Mets even though it was for a half a second --- I also thought this was a cool odd ball cover that Gary Carter was part of
