College football game of the week - Florida vs Tennessee

The Gators are chomping at the bit to pound the Vols into the turf after all of the off season drama
with Lane Kiffin accusing Urban Meyer of cheating and Kiffin making disparaging remarks about the state of Florida
in general. Florida is favored by 28 1/2 points and I'm sure if they get the opportunity they will run the
score up as high as they can.

Tebow has only played the first 2 quarters of each game thus far (OK, he did play the first few minutes of the 3rd this past week) and a lot of people think Urban will leave him in the whole game to really run up the score - but I disagree. I think Urban is smart enough to realize he's got bigger fish to fry than Tennessee and he'll protect Tebow by pulling him sometime late in the 3rd quarter and putting in backup John Brantley. What some people may not realize is how good Brantley is, in fact one writer said he's the 3rd best QB in the SEC behind Tebow & Snead. And then Urban will turn him loose...imagine Tennessee's embarrassment when they get taken to school by a BACKUP hahahaha can't wait....

I can assure you that not all of us are happy we have Kiffin as our head coach. A newbie shouldn't enter the SEC with his attitude. My friends who live in Knoxville tell me that he is just trying to set a new tone for the program. Whatever.
In any event, it ain't gonna be pretty.

A new tone of orange, featuring black and blue after this weekend. I'm going to say it again, I strongly dislike the gators...always have, but I think it's gonna be ugly. The Swamp is going to be about as loud as it can possibly get on Saturday...
<< <i>If I was a betting man I would take the Vols. 28 points is a lot. I don't think Florida is that good or TN that bad. >>
I'm not a betting man either. But if I were, I'd easily lay the 28 points. And I'll collect from you when I someday make it up to your neck of the woods.

You got it Jacky!

I really don't think so. Granted, it's pretty early in the season so perhaps we haven't seen the whole package yet, but they did give up 19 to UCLA. If you think Florida won't have at least that much by the half...
Also, I'm really curious as to if Florida's offense will perform at their full capabilities this Saturday. They clearly were shaking off some rust in the first half in their first game & last week they were making Troy look legit in the first quarter. With all of the hype/emotions surrounding this game I don't think Florida will need a quarter or so to get "in the zone". I am predicting a full on blood bath. It's gonna be brutal. If Florida doesn't cover the 28 point spread I'll come on here & eat crow but I reeeeeeeeeally don't think that's going to happen.
I watched the whole UCLA game. He is real shaky throwing the ball. Florida will have great field position all day long.
Florida 48 Tennessee 17
And if UT beats the Gators if Kiffin will give props to Al Davis for the edumaction he received during his time with "The Raidasssssss"?
Paul Martin's American Bistro?

Also, although his stat line won't look outstanding, this is a perfect example of how valuable Tebow is to his team. He pushed ahead and got numerous first downs, keeping us in the game. He did have two sour notes though. Aside from the interception (which was a nice pic by Tenn) the fumble toward the end of the game really affected the over all feel IMHO. If he doesn't fumble, we're up 30-6. But he did, and that combined with the 15 yard penalty and we're 23-13. BTW why wasn't Walker called for the same thing? *sigh*
Over all I think that while it's a win for Florida in the books, I think it's a win for Tennessee mentally. To go to The Swamp and perform like that has to make them feel good.
Paul Martin's would be excellent, thank you. Just let me know when you are swinging through SacTown.
