Jorge Posoda is a f'ing .....

Every pitcher should bean this piece of trash. Always hated him, he should borrow some class from Jeter.

Carlson wanted some. Not only did he throw behind Posada, he jogged right into Posada's path and stood there after Posada came across the plate later that inning.

  • He jogged there, what? He was headed to the plate to backup the throw wasnt he?

Go to MLB.com and watch the replay.

video, go to the 4:14 mark

He was supposed to be there to back up home as part of the routene play, but as you'll notice, he slows down, sees Posada's coming, and stops with his back to the field. Hard to back up home when your back is turned.

Carlson was way out of position. Instead of backing-up the play at home, he just stayed in the path of Posoda, waiting for Posoda to brush him.

Posoda had a good case to be angry. Good for him! Carlson was wrong, IMO!

In all honesty as a guy who absolutely HATES the Yankees I always thought Posada was in the same class as Jeter- a class act.

Carlson was looking for it, but Posada should have known the pitch behind him was payback for drilling Aaron Hill.
  • Posada didn't do too much wrong. I'd be pissed if I was him too.

Posada acted foolish. I understand being ticked about being thrown behind, but his pitchers had already beaned two Blue Jays. Posada had already stepped towards the mound after the pitch, then had time to cool off while running the bases.

Considering that NOTHING was to be gained, he should've ignored Carlson and gone to the bench. You could see Jeter telling both of them to "knock it off."

Posada put his teammates at risk by escalating the situation. But then again, Jorge has always had a bit of a short fuse...
  • Well said.
