You folks are my kinda folks. I collect coins and know that biz fairly well, cards well are another thing. PCGS is the best coin grading service out there and I will debate that with anyone......ANYONE.
Who is the best sports card grading service out there, whose cards bring the most money?
<< <i>Word is Beckett makes the graders wear ties and slacks to work, also they have to read the bible on their lunch hour so I would say yes. >>
This was clever.
Depends on what you want to grade. As for averages, the grading company that brings the bank...PSA in almost every category except ultra modern. From the early/mid 80s through the mid-90s, it's a toss up...sometimes BGS, sometime PSA. Anything earlier than that, PSA.
Okay, okay... PSA brings the best $, backed by a very strong set registry following and expertise and collector preference with vintage. BGS is preferred by most for modern issues (I would say 1988+), and has the best holder in the business. Technically, BGS has tighter published grading standards but you probably won't convince a lot of folks around here. Many people prefer SGC for pre war but have fun if you eve want to sell them as PSA kicks their butt in prices attained. And it's not BCG i's BGS, I wouldn't touch anything from any other grading company (including BCCG).
