If I had the funds, I'd jump all over a '76 vending box.

On a related note, if you have any extra '76's in NM condition, I'm trying to put a raw set together and would be interested in purchasing some of what I need.

great cards Felicia. Raising some '52 set cash? As exciting as it is too see the unopened racks and mr. brock / mantle & aaron / yount for sale... kinda hate too see such and avid collector sell'n. the Cobb and Magee too?

I want that box of rack packs so bad... my cash reserve = zero. that's like a real zero not even a pretend one. Only wish business deals you're invovled with meshed with cash flow on my end. So much fun to open one of those... wow.

Ebay auctions are not the measuring stick of a cards worth.. especially now.
especially with a high dollar item.
The market for high $$ stuff is a small one due to the price.. so you need the people that need what you
have, to happen to be on EBAY during the time you sell it and actually be looking for it.
Store sales are a better gauge.. also auctions with a reserve tend to not do well..
although with a set like that you need one because of what I just mentioned.. you could lose a lot of money

As I said, It did sell off ebay for a very very nice price, I kept the mantle psa 9 which will be on ebay next week.

Alot of people want a discount so you get alot of off ebay offers. Its important to know your price and be patient.

Based on what I got for the set, the card market is well and alive.

Ebay auctions that end in August and September are always very iffy. It's been that way for years. A lot of people who buy are paying off bills from the National, plus vacations, school starting, and the end of baseball season makes it a tough time to sell baseball cards. It's no different than when we all bought packs as a kid.........were you really that interested in buying packs of baseball cards at this time of year?

This is especially true with high dollar items. Felicia, glad you sold your 65 set and got the price you were looking for.

I just want to clarify something here...

The set was up on ebay for 2 days, it had already reached 11,100.00 in just 2 days of bidding with 5 days left when I pulled it. In 48 hours it went from .99 to 11,100.00

I received an off ebay offer for the set minus the mantle which was unreal. It saved me tons of fees, and my net price to me was awesome. I wont divulge the price as it is not right to do to that person who bought it.

What I will say is that there is NO doubt the set would have hit my reserve as 3 people offered me my reserve on the set within 2 hours after listing it.

If you have quality items, they will sell.
