Crocker and Douglas Collections up for auction on Colin Cooke site

The Crocker collection consists of bronze pennies. Interestingly, there's no 1869 (sorry, but I think that date is rather easier to find than the dates around it).

The Douglas collection has a small group of proof farthings (and a couple of fractionals), including one of the "holy grail" coins - the 1864 copper piece.

Since I've stopped collecting pennies and proofs, I don't plan to acquire any of these, so if the prices go up, it's not my fault! image

The 1864 is the one that has been posted on CC's site for many years and likely will go for some pretty big money (although IMO the estimate may be pretty close). I did not see a lot that thrilled me but still an interesting sale that will be fun to track. I may go for some smaller bits but more of a "popcorn occasion"...
