Roy Williams has a lot to prove this season

Now that the "popcorn man" is gone from the Cowboys, Roy Williams has the stage to show he was worth
all that Jerry Jones gave up to the Lions to get him, he was not impressive last season so the
heat is on.

There is no reason why he shouldnt perform at least an 80 catch 1100 yard 9 TD level, Witten and a strong running game will open it up for him and Romo- now thats what it looks like on paper, IMO I think he is not even close to a #1 receiver, I say he is a bust and Mr.Jones runs him out of town on a rail.

Have him and Romo on my fantasy team. Sure did like that 66 yarder!
  • I would not say Roy Williams has a lot to prove....more so Jason Garrett, who was also responsible for Williams lack of plays last year.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
  • Offense looked good, are they going to be able to stop anyone?

Their inability to sack the QB is a given. They've been unable to get consistent pressure since the days of Haley/Tolbert. I don't follow the stats, but I'll bet they're usually in the lower echelon when it comes to forcing turnovers. More troubling, however, was the Cowboys' failure to stop Tampa Bay's running attack. The way the Bucs gashed the front 7 from the first quarter through the fourth brought to mind last season's meltdown against Baltimore.

If they can stop the run and pressure the QB, all will be well. However, I'm not gonna hold my breath waiting for it to happen.

The Cowboys lead the leauge last year with 59 sacks. 11 more than the next closest team. The d will be fine. I'm not worried at all.
