OK...anyone know why Bing is stuck on 8%???

is there any reason why or when it jumps up to 10, 12, even 15%??? god forbid...20%???

  • I would think that the percentage of discount could be a result of necessity and/or results.

A higher discount would be used to boost slumping sales via Bing.com. As sales increase, the percentage of discount decreases.

It all has to do with the Bing.com promotional goals and ultimately their bottom line.

I have to believe that the cash back program has been a failure, but I guess it's making them some money if they keep offering the program.

I know very few people who actually use Bing (Live) as their everyday search engine. It seems to be used only when folks want to get the discount for something. Anyway, I find it hard to believe the eBay traffic and sales they generate will pay for all of the cash back they've awarded. I would think the goal is to draw more consistent users in order to make money from as many paying advertisees as possible.

Because they know you want more.
  • I have been searching for a ryme or reason it goes up or down, so far i have formed no conclusions. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to me. Hopefully, like last year it really jumped to 20% + leading into X-mas.
