New feature added to non-sports registry!

PSA finally added the first two "Famous Personage" sets to the non-sport registry. The sets are similar to the "Player Sets" in the sports registry, but for famous people. I requested these well over a year ago, but the queue is huge and it takes a long time for the sets to be listed.

The first two famous personage sets are Geronimo and Sitting Bull. The Sitting Bull set is missing several cards that I need to request be added, including the N2, N36 and N189. I also need to request addtions to the Geronimo set, including #62-70 in the 1956 Topps Round-Up set. They included #61, but did not include the rest of the Geronimo cards from that set.

Unfortunately, the sets are not yet weighted as PSA needs auction results to support recommended weights. The cards will be weighted eventually, but for now, this is a very cool step forward for the non-sports set registry.

There are other non-sports "Famous Personage" sets in the queue, so the list will be growing soon.

I noticed that addition the other day and thought it was pretty darn cool after seeing both names in the queue for so long

I don't get the Charles Manson reference. Don't you have a Here's Bo set to complete or something?

The lists are incomplete. When creating a set, PSA only includes cards that have pops. For the Geronimo famous personage set, the only cards with pops that I noticed missing are the 1956 Topps Round-Up cards (#62-#70) and PSA was probably confused, because "Geronimo" is not included in those card names. For the Sitting Bull set, PSA missed at least 4-5 cards that have pops. I have since requested that they be added. I agree that there are a lot of cards that PSA hasn't graded yet that will eventually be included. The sports player sets are always being added to as people discover new cards and have them graded.

A Buffalo Bill set would be cool. There are so many possibilities. Someone on another board said they might request separate sets for the original Star Trek characters (Kirk, Spock, etc.). There could also be sets based on comic book characters or even MTG sets covering all the issues of a particular card. I took a quick look, and the following famous persons are already lined up in the queue: Julius Caesar, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, a few actors/actresses and more Native Americans.

Neil may have been trying to be funny, but if I understood him correctly (and I think I did), he was far more insulting than humorous.

I assumed you were comparing Geronimo and Sitting Bull to Charles Manson, which would be insulting to Native Americans and many others. If that was not your intention, then I apologize.

My mind never even went there, I thought a Joke about Charles Manson would be funny as a Master set, nothing more, nothing less.
