Post office never updated delivery to PSA

I thought this was pretty interesting, and at first I was worried and anxious.
This is just an example, but I also wonder how many times this can happen over an Ebay transaction
even when you use Signature Confirmation.
So I shipped out 60 cards on 8/31 to meet the August deadline. This was the last message posted on USPS:
Label/Receipt Number: 2305 1590 0000 7168 4551
Class: Priority Mail®
Service(s): Signature Confirmation™
Status: Processed through Sort Facility
Your item was processed through and left our ANAHEIM, CA 92899 facility on September 2, 2009. The item is currently in transit to the destination. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.
The same message still appears as of today.
Anaheim is not very far from NewPort Beach. I finally broke down and just called PSA and gave them the tracking # and they said they received it on 9/4 (thank goodness) and my order was logged in yesterday.
Obviously, it just slipped by and was never scanned upon delivery.
If this was an Ebay transaction, I would of been screwed.
