NFL #1 DRAFT PICKS

Hi everyone,

I just put in a set request for NFL All-Time #1 Draft Picks. It's got a long way to go up the list, hopefully around Christmas time.
Putting the set together I found the set to have a really strong checklist with 6 cards from the '48 Leaf set and 5 cards from the '55 Topps AA set. It also has a number of HOFers and Heisman trophy winners in it.
If you want the checklist I sent to PSA, e-mail me at tom.hussey@comcast.net. I don't know how to attach word documents to this post, all I can do is cut and paste and it dosen't come out as good. Let me know what you think, Tom.

Cool idea. I have my Green Bay Packer first round picks all set to go to PSA but have not pulled the trigger yet. Question, why are you not using SP for the newest cards?

When I pick the newer cards I keep it consistent with the standards of the HOF RC set - min print run of 999, no auto or relic cards.
Alot of the SP Authentic RCs from this decade have autos or a print run under 999.

So, what years are they missing a card?

Yeah, I had this set spreadsheet ready to submit awhile back, but for me personally, there were too many commons.

I'll probably add my set to this Registry once up, but won't be chasing the commons. Just not my bag.

Good work on the list though. Looks dead on at first glance.

Thanks Jason, I put what I have from this set in a showcase until the set goes on-line.

I like this idea, but clearly there are a lot of "busts" in the set. What about an NFL/AFL Rookie of the Year set? I wonder what the best wire service or organization would be to determine this list...thoughts?
Successful transactions with FavreFan1971, ffishonn, Davemri, Publius, DavidPuddy, frcarvell, recbball, and many others...

I think that the commons and the busts actually make this set a hell of a lot more interesting.

    Excellent idea!

Just checked the set request list and this set is only 23 out.
I also requested the 2009 Topps Chrome Matthew Stafford #TC210 be added to the checklist.

I do, too. The names are all familiar, but I had no idea some of these guys were that good coming out of college. I have new respect for my Gary Glick, King Hill, Randy Duncan, Ken Rice, Dave Parks, and Larry Elkins cards!

I'm having a hard time tracking down a nice raw or graded '58 Topps Gary Glick RC
