Howard putting together another nice solid productive season - perhaps this will help quiet the Ryan Howard / Phillies bashers.
  • im not a howard basher...

i just think hes not even in the same league with Pujols

his strike judgement and plate discipline are embarassing for a major leaguer....

yes howard is a nice guy, but he is no way deserving of an MVP (ever ) especially when he is not the MVP of his team

He always comes on strong in August and September. I am amazed sometimes at how hot he can get. He's a good guy, too, from all indications.

At $15,000,000 a year he should win an award or two. image

Thank God that other Phills fan isn't around any more or we'd have to read a post that says, "Who is better, Howard or Mantle?"

    LOL

Pujols was having a monster year, and that's not debatable, but Pujols has leveled off a little bit, and while Pujols is still having a great season, Howard is close to catching Pujols in RBI production, which in my opinion regardless of the circumstances or other stats, RBI's are the most important offensive stat for a power hitter.
