It might have some value if your sole purpose is to protect your cards. I can't imagine that getting your card into a CSA holder would add much monetary value to the card.
The problem with this 'deal' is that it wouldn't really cost you anywhere close to $1.00 per card to submit 1,000 cards, because of their stated '20 card maximum' rule. In order to submit 1,000 cards, you'd have to send 50 submissions. Let's say S & H + insurance is $20 each way.... all of a sudden you've spent $40 X 50= $2,000 in postage to get those 1,000 cards slabbed- plus the $1,000 membership fee. So now we're at $3 per card, if you happen to have 1,000 cards in your collection that need protecting.
Is it worth it? Maybe to some, not to me.

If it wasn't for the 20 card max it would be kind of cool if four board members each paid $250 and sent in all our cards. Anyone for a CSA 10 1987 Topps Kurt Stillwell card?

The CSA holder adds negative value imo. Atleast to any cards that are worth much. Many automatically assume its been altered, trimmed, a fake, overgraded etc.

<< <i>It looks like a psa holder >>
Actually the flip is the only thing that resembles a PSA graded card.
The slab is closer to the junk BCCG slabs. Probably the same ones.
