Sending a $300 graded card to Canada - a board transaction, not EBAY

A board member wants to buy my 66 PSA 8 Clemente. He is going to PAYPAL the money. This is a board transaction not EBAY. How do I send this and will his address be confirmed. Please help me out with sound advice. The member is a new member of the boards and I don't know him at all.
Thanks,

I wouldn't worry if his address is confirmed. As long as he sends you the money, I don't see much risk for you in the transaction, just send it to the address he provided you.

But what if the address is not confirmed?
Remember to list the full value when you ship it. Pay for the extra insurance.
Edit to add - remember that at over $250 you need signature confirmation.

What is the risk if his address is not confirmed? I don't believe there is any buyer protection policy if it is an outside eBay transaction.

The seller's only PayPal obligation is to PROVE delivery.
(There are no SNAD awards in off-EBAY transactions.)
Express Mail International is the PayPal-bulletproof shipping
method to Canada. The insured cost will be about $35.
Storm would know more.

<< <i>You must send the card with tracking or insurance to be covered.......... >>

Proof of delivery is required.
EMI - and GEG - noted above are both fine with PayPal.
Do not waive the signature requirement; it is required by PP.

Storm,
question for you. If the PP payment is categorized as something non-material, does the seller still have to prove delivery (obviously, if it is a "living expense" or "service", etc category, there is no shipping of goods)?

ANY credit card payment is a "potential" chargeback; whether on/off EBAY.
PP can only award on an INR-claim, off-EBAY.
The CC-issuer can award on INR and SNAD.
Canada anymore unless the buyer will pay for shipping or pays me with an international money order.
//////////////////////////////
Just tab your PP-generated request for payment as "service" or "non-merch."
PP is then out of the mix, unless unauthorized use is claimed.
......
A CC-issuer can still award a CB for "nonperformance;" or, "unsatisfactory service,"
if the cardholder resides within 50 or 100 miles of the service vendor. (Some high-end
cards have additional coverage that may waive the mileage limit.)

Cuz you requested "sound advice," I guess.
The problem is PayPal. They require SigCon to prove delivery on the subject item.
EMI and GEG furnish PP-acceptable proof of delivery.
...................
If the buyer trusts you, ask him to send you an International Money Order.
You can then use Priority Mail and buy insurance; less expensive.

I suggested GEG because as far as I know the actual delivery is done by fedex, and I have more faith in fedex drivers than I do in some of the mail carriers in Canada. I'm sure there are plenty of good ones, but I've heard about a lot of the bad ones.
I'd say, 'by the way I accept International MO's on this type of sale'

Steve
"Proof of Delivery" is the only extra challenge that Canadian transactions entail.

Just tell him to send his cards first. Trust me the deal comes to end REAL quick.

And you have information to validate these claims? If so, you are leaving the window open for someone here to get scammed.
