Any good card shops in the Biloxi/Gulfport area?

Flying into Biloxi early Saturday for a poker trip. If I can drag myself away from the tables I may try to get to a shop or two in the area if there are any. Anyone have any info?

I wonder if that info has been updated since Katrina.

I lived there for 3 yrs before Katrina, and have visited since. Very little is the same.

nah, although I read "Super System" along with a few other well known books, they basically just encompass the writer/players' particular style and really don't tell you anything you shouldn't already know if you've been playing for a while. I have been playing poker since I was a teenager, way before the big poker boom and made my living online back in the early 2000's when online poker was just getting it's legs. When PartyPoker was booming it was the easiest money that could possibly be made. I was a college kid making over $100,000 a year without a real job, lol.

It has since gotten a lot harder as most of the easy money chooses not to participate due to the slumping ecomony and the ever growing restrictions for online poker (deposit restrictions, cashout problems, etc..)

Thanks to those giving info on the card shops. I'll call them ahead of time to see if there info. has changed or if they are even still in business.

I just called the 2 in Biloxi. The Gult Coast Cards sounds pretty good. He said they had a good selection of vintage. They don't have anything unopened prior to 2006.

The other one in Biloxi isn't a Sportscards store. Jak's Sportscards is actually Jak's Cards and Games. The guy answered the phone "Jak's, how can I help you". After explaining I'd be in town for a few days, getting the hours of op. , and telling him my collecting interests, he says "vintage what?", lol.
