1994 Upper Deck silver or bronze?

Just got this question on an eBay auction about a Ken Griffey Jr card:
<< <i>What color is the back? Silver or bronze? >>
I didn't know there was a variation. How can I tell the difference? Anyone got a scan of the 2 variations?

<< <i>SCD lists a promo as 224(a) for Griffey. Worth about ~3x the base. No distinguishing features of the promo are listed however. >>
Can I assume that if this card came out of a pack, it is not a promo?
the promo variation has the word promo stamped across the front.
<< <i>Is the one you have just the regular version? The electric diamond versions are silver on the back >>
How did I not think of that. Thanks. That has to be the answer.
<< <i>If you have a large stash of these cards, turn them over and the silver will stick out like a sore thumb >>
Thanks for wasting an hour of my day because I now have to go dig through monster boxes looking for them.

<< <i>Just put the scan on of the back up and let the buyer see it.. >>
Haha! Nice. You're like Carl in Slingblade "there's no gas." Sorry, not calling you stupid by any means, just meant the simple answer approach.

<< <i>I've been looking for the mythical 'silver back' variation for a long time. I'm not sure it exists, but until proven otherwise, I'll keep looking. >>
They exist. I owned 2 at one point, then got rid of them when I culled off all of the commons from my childhood collection that weren't committed to sets. Jimmy Key was one of them, I don't remember the other though.

These are his regular card not his electric diamond card.
The silver backs are very rare and only appeal to us ocd player collectors.

<< <i>Many cards have been found with a significant variation on the back. The player's name, the horizontal bar containing the biographical information and the vertical bar containing the stats header are normally printed in copper-gold color. On the variation cards, these areas are printed in silver. It is not known exactly how many of the 550 cards have silver versions, nor has any premium been established for them. >>
I opened 3 boxes and found only 2 of these variations. I don't know if that means anything though, because I also pulled 5 Electric Diamond Griffeys, so colation was all wacked.

So the silver back is really a rare variation? I had no idea. That was always one of my favorite Griffey cards (awesome pic) so it was easy for me to find this morning.
If it's truly rare, I'd probably be inclined to hang on to it for now but would be glad to provide a scan if you like. I know mine has a lot of chipping on the edges, otherwise I would have sent it in to get graded a long time ago.

It's at least a 1 per box variation.

On a side note there was one ED Griffey at Checkoutmycards and it had a silver back.
