Value check, New Zealand and Aussie tokens

Been going through a bunch of coins I have and came across this token. Anyone know the real world value for this? I have a Krause, but as we know Krause can be low, high, or right on. Thanks.

Those tokens are too nice and interesting to ever sell or give away!

I disagree! Sell the NZ piece to me. image

Ajaan, here's what my main man in NZ says about your token:

"This is the commonest of the varieties of ALVA penny (L304a, die pairing 2A). The obverse (legend side on these, as it shows the name of the issuer) has the narrow gap at the bottom, and the reverse (Queen side on these!) has the curl over the 2 rather than the 4. No idea of mintage, but Lampard rated this type R1 (very common), with the other two types being rare and scarce respectively. The year of issue according to recent research (NZNJ no. 88, Dec. 2008) would be 1874."

The guy that was mainly responsible for compiling the NZ and Australian tradesman token information for Krause goes to my coin club. I can vouch for his knowledge of the series.
