With all this talk about a holed R6+ Bustie, how about an R7 (not holed) Bustie (NewP)...
First of all, this variety (JR-8) is an R5, and judging by the condition, looks to be very close to a CC (Condition Census piece).
Now, what makes it an R7?
It's an R7 due to the Retained CUD on the reverse through "OF A(2)"
This coin still exhibits patches of luster on both the obverse and reverse.
There's some yellow rim toning on the obverse, but the reverse is toned a dark blue which fades into a lighter shade nearing the rim.
This coin is totally free of hairlines, hits, or any other problems, just the way I like'em
(All pics taken using my dino-lite; I apologize for some glare which may appear in the images)
The reverse is also rotated significantly!
The Retained CUD is extremely rare, as most other specimens of this die variety without the Retained CUD just have a light die crack through the middle of the "O" in "OF"
Die crack from rim to Bottom Arrow Tip (I don't know if this is a regular diagnostic of pre or post Retained CUD specimens)
If you wish, please give me your opinion of the grade
