PayPal Shipping Problem

Is aybody having a problem with the PayPal in printing a shipping label?

I just went to print a mailing label using PayPal and I get to the screen with the recipients address. I fill in all the mailing specifics such as 1st Class, Insurance, etc. and then click continue.

I then ge to the Verification screen which shows the postage amounts with the Pay and Continue button. But when I select that button, I do not get the Sample Mailing Label screen with the prompt to either Print a Sample or Print the Label. It just takes me to the Completed screen and charges my account for the Label.

PayPal Customer Service was of absolutely no help but I need to see if its my system or a prblem with PayPal.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Sounds like you have the pop up for the print screen blocked or not showing on your system.

  • Do you get the emails that you printed the shipping label? There should be a link to reprint that is good for 24 hours on it.

Added comment that the interface between PayPal and eBay was changed last week so you can print the postage on eBay and have the shippping info in the listing info now.
And yes I had to enable pop ups from another source when it happened.

If popup keeps getting blocked click on the reprint label, it works for me. If that doesn't work go into your paypal payment for the label, click on details and reprint from there. Sounds like a popup blocker issue.

The price of gold is set by faith, or lack of, in the currency it is priced in.

  • After that happens to you, can you go in and click "reprint label" and have it come up?

I have not had that problem, but twice lately it came up with a message saying the address wasn't right and needed to be corrected. It was EXACTLY right both times, everything spelled right, a legitimate address I looked up on the USPS site AND asked the customers to confirm. Couldn't print the labels and had to hand-address both mailers and pay at the post office... never had all that happen before. Not sure if a problem with PayPal or the USPS.

Edit - those answers above weren't there when I started typing, then had to take a phone call before I finished - sorry I repeated the reprint thing!

Have bought and sold on BST, many references available when asked.

    PopUp Blocker is NOT enabled.

I think, but cannot be certain, that Java has been disabled on my system which may be the cause.

IE8, piece of crap that it is, does not have anything for enabling Java Scripting which IE7 has. Does anybody know how to see if Java is on my system?

The "root" cause, I believe, was in downlading an image from Google Images as I expect it had some malware attached to it. I have had nothing but problems with Google Images and will never visit that site again. I strongly caution everybody to avoid Google Images at all costs since it appears to be infected with malware trojans.

  • If you using IE 8, the screen that says print is generally added as another tab instead of a pop-up. Look at all the tabs and see if there is another one being added.

Nope. IE8 has never done this as the screen has always been a popup.

I went to my wifes system and was able to print several labels successfully. Her system does not have her printer set as the default device aso I mistakenly printed a label MS Office Image Writer. I went to reprint the label to the correct printer and the exact same situaton occured on her system.

I feel confident that this is a PayPal problem at this point in time.

  • It's one thing after another with you and shipping isn't it? First, there is a supposed wild fire. Now your computer won't print labels. What's next, the Dog ate the coins?

My computer took a crap when I updated to IE8. I don't know what to tell you. You could try clearing your history, cache, and temp internet files. Then going over and deleting your add-ons. I am SUPER pissed that now that eBay has a "quick print" option for shipping, they no longer port over package size/dimensions into PayPal. That's a bunch of BS. And you still can not use a PayPal debit card, cash back with every purchase, on PayPal shipping. Talk about a crock of crap. They block people from using money orders and checks but they also block you from using a PayPal debit card on PayPal shipping fees.
