I actually like the fact that mods aren't heavy-handed here. That's one of the things I like about these boards.

  • IMO...it should be used more often... along with a complimentary spritz of Glade... image
Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image

On the "new and improved" ebay boards you need only report a post and it goes away almost automatically... so if someone doesn't like you or your opinion and wants to censor you, they can do so fairly easily. Do you really want something like that here?

I'd like to see at least a three-fold increase in removed threads.

Not often enough since this forum has evolved into a combination of the US Coin forum with a bit of the old Open Forum thrown in.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Mods. do a great job. Of course, they can't be here 24 hrs. a day, and the trolls will slip a thread in for a short period of time. image to Smotis.

  • The rules are pretty clear here. Most know when they are pushing the limits on acceptable threads/posts.

.......would this idea fly? all threads that are poofed go to a special forum and filed---------and then LOCKED! it would be a busy place indeed!image

  • Just the right amount since they own the forum.

A large group censored by a small group with no real authority amounts to social terrorism. I don't think anybody wants that. Hmmm. Ebay supports social terrorism.image

The Poof gun does tend to misfire when certain members post drivel......

    Wonder whyimage

I think the poof gun worked great recently in the world coin forum.....we now have a world B/S/T forum as a result.

There probably should be a lot more poofs but unfortunately stuff slips through. It is a sad commentary that we just don't have enough time to monitor these boards.

That's why I am not really interested in poofing threads. I would rather save my poofs for those posters who really shouldn't have the privilege of posting here.

Anyone coming across posts which they don't think are inappropriate is welcome to PM me.

Boy, you're gonna be gettin' a LOT of emails Don, if you're gettin' 'em for any threads we don't think are inappropriate (re...we think they're appropriate) image

I hope you've got plenty of time on your hands image
