Philadelphia Sportscard Show

I'm thinking about flying up and going to the show just to get out for a weekend. Someone give me the low down on this show. Worth the trip? (Southwest has a direct flight from Nashville to Philly for like $12.00 lol) My wife has never been to Philly, so I thought I could disguise the trip as one of those "relationship maintenance" deals and then say "Hey..look...a card show right near our hotel!!

This next show they have Berra, Fisk, and Bench signing. I might try to start some sort of all time great catchers piece.... just not sure what to get signed yet.

Went to the show in 1982, still have the ticket stub somewhere. Tried to get my dad to by a 52 mantle for $3000. No luck
Go Phillies
<< <i>Is this the old Fort Washington show? If so I'd say it is worth going to.

Yeah this is the old Fort Washington show but under new ownership. They are now attracting better signers than in years past using MAB.
I also noticed they are holding a show in December as well. I wonder if the sports card world is starting to pick up again to warrant a show a quarter.
<< <i>The "old" Fort Washington show is in Reading, PA now (I believe)

The Reading show was the "Philly Show" and has now been discontinued for the Valley Forge convention center version of the Philly Show after the ownsership changes.

The Liberty Bell, Independence Hall etc were cool to see. Also on Broad street their is a marker where the Baker Bowl once stood.
Penn st has a campus there as does Temple Univ. Had a great time.
Thanks for clarifying Justin.

I grew up in King of Prussia. Huge shopping mall (actually it is two malls next to each other), Valley Forge Park. 20 miles outside of Philly where the Turnpike splits off (76 goes in to Philly and 276 continues to NJ Turnpike). Don't buy any cards, stay at Motel 6 and take her to dinner at Le Bec Fin. Or stay at someplace decent and go into the Italian Market area for a great dinner (Ralph's - spaghetti with lump crabmeat - my all-time favorite meal - used to be at Palumbo's Nostalgia accross the street until it "burned" down ;-))
Memory Lane is having a lot of things of mine slabbed at PSA and I'll pick my finished items up from them directly at the show
lol yep I meant Univ of Pa. The school Franklin started.

LMAO!!! I'm pretty sure she would consider Motel 6 camping.
