Crowned imperial arms within wreath of 28 tulips; faint traces of Argentine undertype, including '1815' overlapping ribbon.

AU-UNC. Choice toning and sharp strike. Overstruck on a rare host for type. Overstruck on an sun face Argentina 1815-PTS F.L. 8 Soles, KM 15. Overstrikes on this later type are fairly infrequent, especially for the early Argentine undertypes.

    If you look at the "960" it looks like there is a sun with rays around it... struck over another coin???

    Nice coin, and $500 is a pretty reasonable price given recent auction results for the sun face overstrikes. If only I had won the lottery last week. image
