quick question

When you are looking at someone's registered set, what exactly is that "spec no." column??

The "spec no" or specification number is a unique number that is assigned to a specific card, regardless of how many different registry sets it is in.

For example: The "spec no" for a 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle card is 0101523110. No matter which Registry Set that the card may be in ... the "Mickey Mantle Master Set", "Mickey Mantle Basic Set", or a 1952 New York Yankees Registry Set", the "spec no" is always going to be 0101523110 for the '52 Topps Mantle.

Some people might confuse the "spec no" with the "cert no" (certification number).
A "cert no" is a number given by PSA to every graded card/ticket etc. A "cert no" is found on the PSA label or "flip" usually in the bottom right hand corner. Unlike the "spec no" situation, no two cards will ever have the same "cert no" regardless if they are the same or not.

    Hope this helps!
