Nope - but after the July and August special, no matter what its going to be a let down. Very expensive last 2 months for this guy, but the good news is I can't find any more raw cards to get graded anytime soon.
Looking for rare Randy Moss rookies and autos, as well as '97 PMG Red Football cards for my set.
  • They should update it no later than Friday...

I missed out on the $4.50 special and from what I hear, they won't be having that special again in a while, but it was very nice PSA to do it for two straight months!

I don't have much cards to grade anyway, so i'll probably just send them in regular price one of these days.

I intended to look through my cards to find 25 to send in this weekend. I ended up too busy and never quite got to it. Good for me. Saved money as I am sure I would have sent in borderline cards and been disappointed with the grades. I hope for bad specials for a while so I can save money! Maybe a non-sport special this month or something else I could care less about! image

They'll update it tomorrow on the 1st as they almost always do. There was a slight delay last month because of the National.

Got back from a meeting at 3:30 ... Had about 25 cards ready to go, but wanted to look thru another stack. Went thru them fast ... got the submission form filled out ... wrote a check. Well, I just got back from the PO ... I sent 44 total ... Curious as to how the ones I rushed thru are going to grade.

I had about a dozen or so I wanted to crack and re-sub ... but didn't have the time. I have never cracked a slab before ... however, I cracked one this morning. It was a BVG slab ... DAMN ... those things are put together quite well! LOL

The set registry special actually isn't all that bad since it's open to all years and the PSA/DNA special's a good one too. May have to take advantage of that one.

I'd be happier than heck for a non-sport one right now. all my vintage sports are at PSA on this last special and have a few hundred movies stars to submit from the 20's and 30's

Great batch. I look forward to hearing how they turn out.

I sent a 1990 Upper Deck Ben McDonald "Orioles Logo" error and both of the 1990 Donruss Nolan Ryan switched back errors.

  • As far as I'm concerned this new $6 special that's all years for both Football and Baseball for cards under $100 is great. Sure, it's not $4.50 but it's all years which is very nice(not that I have any 50s or older cards). Plus, it lasts until Oct. 31. Another great PSA special in my book.
  • If I understand it correctly - you need not be a PSA member to submit an autographed card. Is this correct ?

I have this card from my days of collecting baseball in the 1980's.

Would this cost $10 plus postage and insurance ? How much would postage and insurance cost ?

Is it worth submitting ? (thanks for any help)

It does not look like you need to be a CU member to take advantage of the PSA/DNA special. The fees would be just the $10 if the card is valued under $250. The postage + insurance, assuming you value this between $101 - $250 would be $19.05. If you ever want to sell the card, it may definitely be worth your while to authenticate and slab since Dimaggio is heavily counterfeited. If you intend to keep it in your collection and confident of its authenticity, maybe not.

As for the DiMaggio, it might be worth the cost to get the protection that encapsulation brings, even if you have no intention of ever selling it.

I might even like this special better than the last one.

All years, a lower min #, valid for 2 months. Very good special.

Having gone through almost 4 3200ct's and a 5000ct in search of mint 1980's-early 90's errors, I've noticed that the more famous ones of that time are pretty scarce.

The 1990 Donruss Nolan Ryans, Juan Gonzalez RevNeg and Harold Baines AS, 1988 Topps Comstocks, 1989 Topps Bob Welch, 1990 Score Sandberg and the 1990 Upper Deck errors all have problems of some sort.

I'm guessing that's due to them being heavily handled and traded back then?

Anyone have a pop report for some of these?
