crusty color toned peace dollar

Just hit the button this one last night. Paid $150 on ebay but got cashback and ebay bucks so it cost about $133. Not really sure what the going rate is for a coin like this but it had just the right crustyness and color to catch my eye. Your thoughts?

I know what you mean! Anything with color on it on ebay is going for crazy money. I actually could only find one ebay one I liked better- guess which one .

We could start a new thread -- or maybe it wouldn't be new -- on why Peace dollars tone poorly. I don't think I've seen more than a handful I've liked. And I love Peace dollars, much more than Morgans. But Morgans tone so nicely and Peace dollars look like crap. JMO, of course.

How do I put this gently....I am happy you like it and that it truly all that matters.....

but Those are terrible images with the white balance off so there is no telling how it looks in hand.....but from what I can see that is not an attrative coin and to the average collector it would be worth substantially less than you paid.

For me, I really like the obverse, the rev kinda wrecks the piece as a whole. It sounds like you are happy with it and thats all that really matters

Yes I would like to see what that reverse really looks like......it might be a bit less crusty and a bit more colorful in hand
