If I wanted to collect 19th Century British Coins - what guide/books would I need.

I have the Krause book on 19th century coins. Purchased some $100 and under stuff. But if I really wanted to get into the better stuff (100-1000) were would I get my price poiints from

    I use Krause, Seaby is also available, and Numiusmaster online guides. I also try to keep up with auction sales on the areas I am interested in, you can join Heritage for free and get access to all their previous auction sales.

    Have fun, and don't drive up the price of Halfpennies please.

    Spink (formerly Seaby) and Collector Coins Great Britain are both good books for prices. The latter is a cheaper softcover and is focused on predecimal issues from George III on.

    Thanks for the info. I seem to be mostly interested in the larger silver pieces. So you copper guys are safe for now. There was a nice 1820 crown on ebay last night but I had no idea how much to bid so I let it pass
