My 2 cents worth: I personally consider vintage to be '77 or older, but then again I'm middle-aged (41); younger guys might consider '89 to be vintage and older guys might consider '63 to be vintage. My thinking might have been partially influenced by SMR, which does not estimate the value of PSA 10's prior to '78. Again, just my 2 cents worth.
I started collecting in 1970 so I used to always consider vintage as being 1969 or earlier. However, I have since expanded my collecting range and now consider vintage to be prior to the 1952 Topps set. I think that you will find some similar answers, however, there is no 1 absolute definition on "vintage". Think of "beauty/vintage is in the eye of the beholder"
Think a lot of people used to say pre 1975. that was sometime ago, so it's probably different now. Everythings relative. My "vintage", may not be someone elses "vintage".
