Your picture makes it look like a possible laser copy reprint where a front and back were copied and sandwiched together. Look at the printing on the back under magnification. It should be solid ink and not made up of tiny dots or lines. On the front the red has to be solid and all you should see in the background are tiny blue dots on a solid green background.
  • Good advice, thank you.

Opinions? You were told exactly what to do and look for in order to determine authenticity 27 days ago. Since you're the only person that can do that what is your opinion of the card?
  • I believe it to be a reprint as well, just getting second and third opinions.

In person it should be obvious

If you dont have a common 1949 Leaf card (lower grade) to compare the cardstock with, ..... buy one.

Using a scan of a card is not always the best way to authenticate a card... the best reprints are made from scans of authentic cards that are then printed out on a inkjet printer (Homemade), and then the front and backs are glued together.

Homemade reprints are the toughest fakes to authenticate using a scan.

Unlike a true reprint (Fritsch etc.) where the design of the card is slightly altered in the reprint process (cropped photo, new designed caption, wrong ink color, etc.), homemade reprints look exactly like the original.
