When the 2009 mint set is offered in the fall will the 4 pennies be copper or zinc? What was the mintage for the 2008 set? Thank you.

I believe the cents are supposed to be copper. I'm not sure on the 08 pop, but may not matter as this year has enough differences to make it irrelevant. The 4 copper cents, the additional quarter, the fact that the quarters are NOT part of the States series, the Sac dollar is the first year of the native american series. All these may work for and against higher pops than past and future years.

The ONLY zinc cents that are available are those minted for general circulation. All other collectible cents will be of the 95% copper composition regardless of manufacturing process.
