to things they want other to see instead of just copy/pasting the URL text into their post? It's not like it's that hard. Is it?

    Best to do both, so folks can see where they are going. Blind links can sometimes lead to bad places. Sometimes used for SPAM for pay services, where posters get credits for directing folks to various sites by posting blind links. Those kind of things don't happen much on this forum, but do on others.

    Or, just enable your status bar so you can preview the destination before clicking on a link.

    Most people (I'm sure), like myself, are used to forums automatically parsing a URL into a hyperlink. Copying and pasting is all you have to do in most forums to get a clickable link.

    I just came onto this page to read it and got a pop up message saying "Your computer will now explode."

    HELLO????

    I didn't click the OK button, I hit the X (wasn't about to give it consent to explode!) And now I think I'll shut it down. Anyone ever get THAT message?
