Please forgive me here as I do not understand why people place a photo of a coin on these sites and ask others to grade there coin. First off the people on these sites are not graders/slabers. Do we do this to show off a coin. Do we do this thinking about sending it in to be graded.
I'm not a bad or rude guy, I just don't understand. When I don't understand I ask. I buy a coin that I like and I do not really care if you like my coin or not. I might show it off, but probably not as I really do not want people knowing what I have.
Like I said, I just do not get this.
As for the coin, quarter. It looks real good, toned BU. As for a number I can't give as I do not grade. And I have seen graded coins that I wonder about.
Please don't shoot me or run me off, just help me to learn.
Obviouly the pictures are blurry, but from what I see with the contact marks on the obverse and reverse it is no better than a 63. I do like the toning, it looks to be NT. If you can get better pics, I would be able to give you a little better judgement on the toning.
I think this is a great place to "show off" your coins. Its a place where people talk coins. Coin collecting is a lonely hobby, either the people you know could care less or there are the people you'd rather not show anything valuable to. JMO

But the rainbow toning is very nice so I think pcgs will grade it ms65.
Now send it to me, please!
It's a shame that there's a fair likelihood it will grade "genuine" with PCGS, simply because of its color.

Edited for bad spelling.
Actually, looks like a beautifully toned MS-65.

Well said!

There is plenty more coins I would like to share in the near future. The reason I like this
forum is because I get to see coins I don't have or might not be able to afford. It is really
nice that people come together for a hobby and share experiences, knowledge and their
coins. Thanks
quite free of marks and flatness. The marks
on the eagle, will probably pull it down to MS-65.
Of course, there is an outside shot at a 66.

As stated on countless occassion, it's impossible to determine grade from ANY picture.
Can't distinguish luster but toning appears to be correct - commencing with 3rd side (rim).
Given what we CAN see, it appears to be from the same die - precursor to the 34 Light Motto.
Numerous hits & dings considered, I'm guessing 63. 64 topside. Looks nice.
Good luck getting it graded.
Let us know if you get it done.

I thought it was a generous crowd. I was thinking MS63 because of all those hits.
That said, it is a very nice looking quarter

Please send me all your qtrs that look like this at MS 63 levels. MS 63 really?? Is that a joke? This coin is MS 65 all day long.

I agree.
This looks like a solid 65 to me.
65 obverse, 64 reverse so I grade it a 64, but a nice high 64.
