Now that Senator Kennedy has passed away, the half dollar should be changed.

Off with JFK and the presidential seal. Put Reagan on one side and Ted Kennedy on the other. Have both sides be "heads" and eliminate the "tails" side.

Talk about a gesture of goodwill and "bipartisanship". With such a coin in your hand you can change your political mood from adulation, to consternation and back again simply by turning the coin over in your

Maybe the half dollar should be a permanent circulating commemorative that changes design yearly, and all other coins go back to Miss LIBERTY or some sign of strength (Shield, star, flag etc).

Leave only the dime and the quarter. Make a newly designed half dollar (i.e. larger than a quarter and smaller than a half dollar), eliminate the dollar, two dollar and five dollar bills and replace them with a dollar, two dollar and five dollar coin.

Have a ten dollar bill be the smallest bill and make twenty, fifty, hundred, two hundred, five hundred and one thousand dollar bills to round out our coins and currency.

Actually, after Teddy's passing, Nancy Reagan, commented that Ronnie had the utmost respect for Teddy and that the feeling was mutual between the two men. On issues where they agreed, they made for an undefeatable team. On issues where they disagreed, they still respected each of the other's positions. Something this board could learn alot from!!
