Do you have an irrational dislike for any particular series?

Washingtons? Jeffersons? Roosies? KENNEDYS??? IKES???
Seriously, how could anyone get excited about THOSE ?!?!?
Now, how on earth I came to love Lincolns based on my rationale for disliking "anything that's modern" is beyond me

Just the coins though, not this guy...
However, I truly don't care for Morgan dollars and I can come up with no good reason for the dislike.
Are you trying to make other collectors feel bad?
RIP Mom- 1932-2012
Just an irrational dislike for collectors.

For moderns, I've always liked the intricate reverse of the presidential seal on the back of the Kennedy half most...and since it's a large coin, you can appreciate all the nooks and crannies.
As for irrational dislikes...just put Reagan on a coin and then ask me again!

Oh, heck no. I'm just trying to get a handle on why I like some, and not others. I mean, I like Trade Dollars, especially the straw bale detail. And I've only ever bought ONE. I love the buffalo on the Buffalo Nickel series, but the Indian kills it for me. I really dislike Morgans. They're boring. I really like Shield Nickels. Why? I have no idea. Jeffeys and Roosies and Washingtons don't really do it for me, even if they're old and pretty. They just remind me too much of pocket change. Lincolns... they're my favorite. But only pre-1930's well struck ones. There's just something about the way they look. That, and the fact that the design just works so well, it makes a lovely coin. I don't like Coronet copper. I could go on and on...
And the key IS "irrational". I can't really explain any of it. It's like not liking R.E.M. I just don't.

<< <i>My dislike? All business strike small size dollar coins made since 1979. Period. SBA (ugliest coin ever made), Sacagawea, and Presidentials (they look like Chuck E. Cheese tokens, only less interesting, and less useful).

I collect all 20th century series except gold including those series that ended there.

Fair enough.
I just know I won't like it if I see anybody list colonial coins in their response.

say what you will I just cant get excited over morgan dollars. No reason why they just dont appeal to me
The only exception to coins with people on them would be the early Lincolns before they retooled his beard and made it look like snakes on his face.
I think the trade dollars scared me off for a couple of reasons: 1- They don't seem like a real coin that people would have carried and purchased things with and, 2- I'm always a bit suspicious of their authenticity.
I have some moderns in Danscos but no real passion for them either.
We collectors are a curious lot.

Seriously though... I'm not really partial to Jeffs or roosies... any modern (post 1935) dollars...
