Alex's Auto Collection - Added Tennis

Hey everyone, here's my autographed card collection. I thought it might interest some of you, and if anyone's got anything I might need let me know. I collect a variety of types of autographs, and am always interested in new things. So far this thread includes:
1) Baseball Hall of Famers
2) Tennis Hall of Famers

Baseball Hall of Famers:

Here I'm trying to collect an autograph of every baseball hall of famer. The preferred medium is the Rookie card, but that's not always possible. I like 1933 goudeys a lot, so they often substitute for rarer rookie issues. Listings from oldest to newest.

Tennis Hall of Famers:

Again I try to get rookie cards or older cards. Tennis it's harder to find a good card to get autographed than it is to get the autograph (almost everyone signs for free TTM!). I listed these cards in the order that I think the players rank in all time greatness.....Laver over Federer for sure!

    Babe Ruth?? Are you kidding???

I've seen a few bats and balls, but how many cards with Babe's auto do you guys think are out there?

    AWESOME collection.

Are you keeping them raw or thinking of getting them slabbed?
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
  • I got the ruth off of ebay a month or two ago. It was listed at buy it now for 12k or so, then the guy did an auction at 5k, I got it at the last minute for a bit over 5k. More than any of my other cards by about 10X, but I figured it would be a cornerstone of my collection and I might never get another chance at one; plus I thought the autograph looked really nice and the card though not in great condition presented well. I haven't ever seen another ruth autograph on a card, but surely there are some out there.
  • Maybe half or so are slabbed already. I just zoomed in to take the pictures. Most of the rest I plan to get slabbed with thenavarro's bulk submission.

I am surprised Mike Navarro didn't beat to that Ruth auto rc image ... His collection and yours are by far the nicest gallery of auto rc I have ever seen! Great jobs guys keep it !

That is a very nice collection, but are you sure about the Babe Ruth?

It just doesn't look authentic to me.

The Ruth came with a full letter from James Spence Authentication, which I understand is not fool proof, but that Babe is real. I would have bought it for my collection but I didn't see it until after the auction had finished. Nice card.
