No emoticon so I don't know if you are joking or not.
Funny watching people complain about getting 15% (or even 10% or 5%) back for doing nothing other than going to a link to start the process and then possibly waiting for the money.

Since things were kicked off a year ago, and things seem to be going ok, I really doubt (though, I too would love it) if we will see 25% again (at least on ebay).

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • Oh no, I'm not joking. Don't think for a minute that Microsoft doesn't read message forums.

I believe most of the complaint is sellers raise the price so they can 'share' in the cashback.........that's been the observation of many.

Ive never been able to find the cashback on bing image wah!

ah, the search is slightly different. this kind annoys me as I bin'd a peace dollar last night....
    BAH!

    How it works:
    Visit Microsoft Bing: www.bing.com

Enter your search for a product (example: “red boots”). In the search results, look for an eBay.com sponsored advertisement that has the cashback coin icon. The location of these ads will vary from search to search.

In the eBay-sponsored ad, click the Bing cashback link. This brings you to the eBay.com site with your search terms already in the eBay search box.

Important: Your cashback rewards offer will be good for 60 minutes from the time you click the eBay sponsored advertisement that has the Bing cashback icon next to the advertisement. You must successfully complete an eligible purchase on eBay.com using “Buy It Now” and PayPal within 60 minutes of clicking the ad. For complete details and restrictions, see eBay Terms.

When you go to the item page, your cashback rewards percentage is shown at the top of the eBay page. When you find an eligible item you want to buy, click the Buy It Now button. On the Order details page, you’ll see the cashback total for this purchase.

After you purchase an eligible item and pay for it with PayPal, you’ll see a message about your eligibility, when cashback rewards will be available in your PayPal account, and if you need to take additional steps to get your money. We’ll also send you an email confirmation in My Messages in My eBay.

Important: If you don’t have a Microsoft Bing account or need to link your Microsoft Bing Account with your PayPal account, you’ll see a message with instructions to click the Get cashback button to create or access your free Microsoft Bing account. You must click the Get cashback button to get your money. It may take a few days for your eBay purchase to show in your Microsoft Bing account.
  • I'm satisfied with 15%. Coupled with eBay bucks & Bigcrumbs and there are some good deals out there. It could be Zero %. Never look a gift horse in the mouth.

What is going on with ebay cashback? The cashback icon (gleems) are not working or are turned off. Or is it just me??

Yes, I used it to buy a new golf bag and cool micro pull cart for my son's birthday last night. Then since it was 15% I bought a maple leaf for below melt. --Jerry

Just got a first spouse for under melt. There are still a couple up there to be had.
  • how do you get to ebay from bing?

In Hyperion's instructions above, which seem thorough, the 2nd line reads:

"In the eBay-sponsored ad, click the Bing cashback link. This brings you to the eBay.com site with your search terms already in the eBay search box."
So just find an advertisement on their page for something in eBay and that should take you there.
Have bought and sold on BST, many references available when asked.

If they don't raise prices, the lower priced items get snapped up by collectors using cashback, leaving only the higher priced items remaining for sale. The end result is the same.

Save this link to your favorites:
    Bing search
Once logged into bing, use this link to get you to ebay. click on any item on this page (usually at the top of the list) that has an ebay web address and it will take you to ebay. log in to your ebay account and you should see the cashback logo in green. You are now free to search and move around in ebay and make a purchase. Make sure you stay in this window and purchase a buy it now within one hour of logging in. If hour expires or you want to make another cashback purchase, just log out of bing and ebay, close all browser windows and start over.

Looks like cashback is back down to 10% at the moment.

Depending on the coin or set you are looking to purchase the percent cashback may be irrelevant as there is a $200 limit per item in addition to a 12 month total cashback limit of $2500.

For example if a buyer is looking to purchase a AGE proof set at a buy it now of $3000, then the cashback only has to be at 8% to reach the maximum of $200 cashback.

There is a CheckBox to limit searches to MS Cashback Eligible items.

    two places...
    1) Individual Search
    2) Search Preference settings

    1)] on the left under:
    "Refine Search"
then under "Buying Formats" select "Choose more..."
on the Right side of the pop-up window select "Eligible for Microsoft cashback"

2)] above the auction listing under:
    select "Edit Preferences"
on the Right side of the pop-up window select "Eligible for Microsoft cashback"

Isn't it easier to just limit your search by using the "buy it now only" tab on the search results page? All buy it now items are eligible (make sure you use the buy it now when given a choice of buying it now, bidding or making an offer).

I can't find a search item that is being sold on ebay?

    Can't get it to work.

If the seller doesn't use eBay's checkout system item is Not eligable. If they use Auctivia etc...No cashback for you!

I believe that is incorrect. In fact, I just did it and got a message saying, "this buyer doesn't use ebay's checkout system. Make sure you use paypal on their checkout system to get your cashback."

I've gotten cashback via non-ebay checkout systems, no problem.
