Beware of Scam On Ebay

Please beware of seller jeremys7223. He is trying to sell MY 57 Starr PSA 8 card. Mine is listed also. What really p***es me off is that the fake one (mine) is bid higher than mine. He has copied my scan somehow. Thanks so much from a board member who gave me a heads up. I have called ebay about this. Has anyone had this happen before and what did you do? My concern is that my auction ends in 2 days and his in 8 days. I am afraid that some is bidding higher on his when they could bid on my card, which is the REAL one. Thanks for listenening to me vent.

If you delete your picture will it delete his?

I don't know. I do not want to do that though, because then anyone wanting my card will have no scan.

We already knew about this situation. If you go to the fake auction listing and report it and let eBay know that you are the real owner, they will pull it. If we report it, they will sell they do not have enough evidence to do diddly squat.

I tried to bid on it knowing that the listing will be taken off, but he cancelled it. I'll keep you posted.

Why don't if you can just end your listing early and the notifiy your bidders of the problem. Then delete the picture.

Will that delete the picture then from his listing? I might then do that tomorrow if ebay does not help.

It's my understanding all he has to do is R click, save as, change file name and post. Deleting yours wont help. Unless he is using your Photobucket (or similar) tag code.

I reported to ebay and they said they cannot prove it. That he could have a similar card. Another PSA 8.

Thanks, Bill R. I told ebay to look at both cards and they will see that his is the same. The auth. # does not lie. Hopefully they will delete his. I will follow up tomorrow.
