Ludwig II Commemorative Medal????????

Can anyone give any info on this medal. When was it made? How many? What is it made of? The only thing I can find is some dealer in England has one for sale for 45 pounds. I know the story of crazy King Ludwig and his castles, but where does the medal fit in.
