Does Anyone Know Anything about this 1909 Lincoln Boston Sunday American Newspaper Medal?

I recently bought this medal, mostly because it has fantastic bluish purple toning, but don't know much about its history. It's the size of a half dollar. Does anyone here have any information on this this medal, what purpose did it serve - why was it made, how much are they worth, etc.? By the way, I took these photos with my new Dino Lite microscope camera - they're not great, but they're not bad either.

<< <i>It was given out with the Sunday paper as a commemorative piece, that's all I know. >>
Holy macaroni, even I could have come up with that!
Apparently there was a special birth centennial commemorative edition (the SunAm was a "pictorial" newspaper) and the medal came along with it.
They were big on special issues, for example there was one in 1913 for the 50th anniversary of Gettysburg, and many of the photos of the aftermath of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake were taken by SunAm photographers and appeared in yet another special edition.
There's a decent chance that the paper also included sheet music for some schmaltzy Lincoln tribute song -- that was sort of their "thing," they were known for distributing free sheet music and printing turgid poetry.
Medal looks to be worth about $10 (not especially rare). Maybe a bit more if it's got original skin, lots of them appear to have been harshly cleaned.
