On pre-war cards I try to scan them at high dpi and blow up the picture. If the black printing shows as print dots it's almost always a reprint. If it shows as a solid black it's almost always legit.

I can email you a photo of each so you can see the difference, it doesn't show up well if I try to post it here

The way to tell...

The background color should be the same as the border.

This is because the border area was cropped and a new white border added (like most all reprints)

Those outside borders are much more white than the rest of the card. Reprint.
