WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH HERITAGE AUCTIONS

Well I am all ways on here saying how much I like Teletrade and a lot of
people say just how good Hertiage is so Thursday I decided to give them
a try on their "Thursday Internet Auction". I won one coin and was happy
with the price and on Friday morning I got and invoice and paid it right then.

OK On Sunday I said hey that was nice and bid on a couple of more things
and won just two and again I was happy with the price. Now here it is Monday
morning and I'm all ready to pay for the two I won and I get the Hertiage invoice
and what do I see, they billed me again for the won I won on Thursday and said
it was pass due and added it to the two I won Sunday.

I got my thank you from them on Friday for payment of the first coin and a email
from Pay Pal showing where I paid for the first coin and now they want me to pay
for it again. WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH HEARTIAGE ????????

Yea Yea I know I'm calling them when they open but that ain't the point. If this company
is such a good place to do buisness with why did they bill me again for the first coin. Don't
they know if they are washing or hang out??

A bit of an over-reaction to a billing error, I would say. --Jerry
  • They now kind of roll the Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday auctions into one billing cycle. I have found that it is best to wait to pay until after the Sunday auction is over for multiple wins. The advantage is that you only pay one cumulative fee for shipping for all three auctions. Their shipping fees are quite high in my opinion so it works out well.

As far as the past due notice. I have had that happen as well and don't like it. It is I beleive just a technical error, but as they state that a past due charge may be made on late invoices, it is irratating at best.

I'm assuming you paid by credit card? If so, it's only been a few days, and the weekend to boot, so you have to give them time . If you paid by check, then it's obvious they haven't even received the check yet. Give them a call if you are concerned, but it will fine as soon as the funds are applied, and the earlier auction win will be posted as paid. They are still the best of the bunch by far in my book.

These statements are as I understand them. I have made the mistake of paying at the end of the auction, which allowed them to ship these coins immediately, but the invoice paid was a "preliminary" invoice and was subtracted from any subsequent final invoice issued after the Sunday auction. If you can wait a week for your winnings, then wait for the final invoice and save on some shipping charges. I've not had any major issues with Heritage and any little thing was straightened out immediately.

  • Just irritating. Not any more than that.

Pay once and ignore the next two or three notices.
Unsure why this happens, but it does.

Another thing to be aware of is their "auto ship" policy. Apparently, if you have good credit with them, they may initiate shipment of lots won at the end of the auction. This may bite you if you win a Signature Sale lot (even the online session) and an Internet Auction lot at the same time. Last time this happened to me, a quick, uneventful phone call straightened this out with no problems.
