Do you like my new 1971 MAYS card? Review results "WOW"

I've searched for years for a nice 8. It's usually something wrong with the centering, corners or color. There are a ton of average 8's out there; but not this one. I think Willie is going to be flying to Newport Beach soon for review. It's all there. Very high end card.

I thought it was a very nice 8. Not average whatsoever. Oh well.

Very nice card indeed. It seems like alot of the Mays I see are OC top to bottom. This one looks great and good color too.

Nice card but the tilt holds it at an 8.5 at the most.

I agree with ElToro. Send it IN the holder. Do not crack. I think you have a very good chance at an 8.5 but the odds of a 9 are a long shot - if only because of the way the set is graded.

i believe the top right corner keeps it from a 9, but 8.5 is a sure thing!

Awesome card!! I am with Vito on this one, do not crack (I would be scared I would damage it). Have it reviewed. If it doesn't bump..who cares

It also looks like an 8.5 to me

The back is beautiful too. I've seen enough of 71 Mays' to say this is extremely high end. Thing is, with review subs you never know. I think some 8's get reviewed tougher than cards that are graded 9's the first time through. If this card isn't a .5 than I have no idea as to what set of guidelines they could be using when reviewing this card. It will be sent in soon.

Very nice card - I've always enjoyed the "challenge" of finding nice cards with black and "wood" brown borders - to me they look so dam good in 8, 9, &10.

Willie is on his flight to Newport Beach for review. I feel that this is a special card. Like I said before, I've looked for this card in a high end 8 for years and this is the only one I've come across that has it all- corners, color, focus and centering.

No bump. Print on front, a bit out of register, and nicks on top and top left border. Graders are so TUFF on 71's.

The top right corner, and the distracting tilt (more noticeable on the left border for some treason) will keep it in a PSA 8 holder.
