Just picked up this Mickey Mantle today at local flea market..how'd I do? UPDATE with grade
Bought today on the way home from work. I stop there about once a month and don't usually see much. The corners are sharp and centering seems pretty good....I've seen this issue centered poorly more times than not. Surface does seem a little "snowy". Opinions on what it might grade??

<< <i>I have a Frank Robinsion and Banks all-star card from same set and it measures up to both of them. >>
Then I'd say you did QUITE well. For a second it looked like it may be a hair short.

Nice card Claude!
Have ya put the loupe on it?
The big thing ya can't tell on a scan - are the corners sharp and not slightly worn.
Looks like an 8.
Nice price. Gonna send it in?

It's sharp enough for an 8 though

But the eternal question I hate...........
Why isn't this card already graded?
Love seeing the raw pickups

<< <i>That card looks great. You really have to loupe the corners on 58's as they tend to stay sharp but can show alot of wear. I have noticed alot of sharp corners that the white has flaked off. Great pick up. >>
How do they treat a sharp corner with loss of white -- 6? On 1962's they are all over the road on how to grade, if you'll pardon the expression, loss of wood.

Seriously, that is one sweet card with blazing colors. Great pick up!
<< <i>Guy only had raw stuff..no graded. Also had a '53 Jackie Robinson for $200. It's probably only PSA 1-2 range so price was a little high. Had a binder with about 300 '75 Topps cards in pages in a binder. They were really nice, almost all looked nm/mt and he wanted $100 for the binder...I think I'll go back today and get the binder. Would that be a good price?? >>
Depends on who's in the 300. Just commons, if they're real nice, then $100 is average. If there are Ryans, Aarons, etc then I'd definitely pick it up
hopefully you do as good as i did on my find
One of best GEHRIGS i have seen in the last 6 years. I'm hoping for a 9 but my mind says 8.5
