Thoughts on 1956 Baseball Set

Hello,
I'm a newbie.
I was wondering if I could get some advice regarding a 1956 Topps Baseball Set.
I got 10 of the keys graded: PSA 5 - T Williams (GB), J Robinson (GB); PSA 6 - Mantle (GB), Mays (GB), Aaron (WB), Clemente (WB); PSA 7 - Koufax (GB), Berra (GB) and Campanella (GB). I also graded Irvin PSA 8.
I would say the rest of the set falls into the same range, should they be graded, averaging around 6. There a maybe a half dozen cards that would be below 5 and probably a handfull of commons that might get 8's, but the vast majority are in the 5-6-7 range. It really is a nice set.
My questions are:
Should I list it as a set and how - BIN, BIN/Best Offer, Auction, Auction with reserve, Auction with a high starting bid?
If I list a singles, once I get past the PSA graded cards and the other HOF'ers, should I do lots (random or team) and how large should the lots be?

A PSA 5 set is listed at around $6,500 and a PSA 6 set is listed at $9,875, where do you think the set price point should be?

Any advice would be welcome.

Thank you.

    For best $$$...

    20-30+ individual auctions

Sell HOFers individually or in groups of 2-3, and the rest by team lots

all $9.99 start w/ no reserve

    Welcome to the Boards!

I would definitely sell the graded cards individually.

As for the remaining cards, I'd check Completed eBay Auctions to see what success others have had selling theirs.

You can also check the Current eBay Auctions to view other opportunities.

    Good luck,

I'd throw it up on ebay with a buy it now that would make you happy - if it doesn't sell break it into the ten or so lots, plus the graded as sep. auctions.

Also put it up here on the B/S/T board - no fees!

These guys are right, break up the bigger HOF'ers into single auctions and put the rest into lots. You can also list on the BST board here for free, I'm pretty sure some of the folks here would love a shot at a few of those.

Welcome to the boards and good luck with your sale! image

After looking through the boards, it seemed that people posted the word "bump" when they were trying to get their thread moved back to the top of the heap with an empty post. I used the term with a question mark since I am not sure if I am using the correct term. Thanks.

Let me think on the Mantle.
