I do have my 1850 LC that has been bathing in mineral oil for 16 months.............I haven't checked on it for about 6 months, other than that nothing new for me copper wise.
Here are my original images, any bets how it will turn out (I hate you Lee )?

Mike that coin really is nicer than either image portrays. Look at the beard detail remaining for a 40's series coin. It also has a shock of blue on the shoulder that the images also don't really show very well. Super coin "in-hand"!
<< <i>This arrived this past week: This just came back for the goober factory: >>
Both are super examples Michael, especially the 1915. The beard detail is fantastic for the year, see the 1913 as an example!! The dies were redone in 1916 due to wear issues. Super Nice!!
Copper? My sons and I were able to dig through some mine tailings as part of the Copper Country Mineral Retreat in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan earlier this month. We didn't find enough for me to retire , but we did have fun and found a number of mineral specimens that contained native copper, including this palm-sized specimen (which we still need to clean up):
We brought home a few microminerals, including these neat little copper crystals about 1 mm or smaller in size:
Here's a large cent -- coined from Michigan copper -- that I recently picked up on eBay. Mmm, chocolate!
I was at a show all weekend so this is the first chance I've had to see all the copper for this weekend - awesome pieces, every one of them! Here's one of my errors - a neat 1970-S Lincoln with a huge cud.
