F the yankees!!!! (even after this weekend)

hey brian--u live in LA and are a dodger fan; why the heck would u want a josh beckett card????!!!!
me on the other hand.... >>

Yes I'm a Dodgers fan and I do live in LA, but I'm also a hard core baseball fan. My collection I'm working on is for my son and it dates back to my original childhood cards and I have collected all of the HOF's and stars during my lifetime.

I've actually NEVER won anything on these boards or any other boards, but I don't want to have anyone mad at me. If you really have your heart set for this card, I will give it up to you and settle for any Dodgers cards Gonblott wants to give up.

    Respectfully,
    Brian

Does this fall under "if a tree falls in the forest..." or " does a bear sh** in the woods?"

    I'm confused.

    Is a bear Catholic?

Does the Pope sh** in the woods?

If the Pope falls in the woods, does anyone hear it?

  • Maybe he meant "Giving back to the BORED"? Since he is obviously supplying us with a little entertainment, he has succeeded.

count me in too as a winner back in august who received nothing--heck, i was a minute late winning the original contest for the beckett card and was one of the first ten to respond in the second contest. i even stooped so low as to pm him around the three-month mark in november (and then a couple months later welcoming him back to the boards when he finally resurfaced after many months) asking him if he ever sent the cards. (no responses to either of them). not to brag or anything, but exclusive of whatever cards he "sent" (or planned to send) my collection is pretty stellar on its own. unless he was planning on sending me a t206 wagner or a 52 mantle, nothing he couldve sent wouldve made my collection markedly better. its just the principle of the thing: u shouldnt come on the boards and have a contest and generate some excitement if u dont intend to follow through (thus making false promises). i dont care if he didnt send them--my life is no worse for it--but at least have the common courtesy to reply to my pm and tell me he didnt send them or say "sorry". i always say: "DONT START SOMETHING THAT U CANT FINISH!!"image

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I guess I have to add I won the first part of his contest and I got no prize and no answers from his PM's. Glad my little boy is too little to realize we didn't get his prize for our collection.

No card and no replies to my PM's....not even a reply to the previous bumps on this thread by other CU members having issues with this OP.
He's around because I saw him in the for sale section during the year.

Really not a big deal card....I just happened to show my 5 yr old the card he was getting and he never got it...Little kids have minds like a vault and remember things I don't even recall. Out of the blue yesterday, my son asked where I put the card he won..Amazing. lol

Unfortunately, I only collect vintage. Do you think the OP would mind waiting 40 years before he mailed it to me??
