Any hope for this 1867/7 Indian Cent?

Bought this from a local dealer. Nice details, but clearly has some issues. Any remedies to make it looks better? Thanks in advance.

enlist the svc's of a good coin dr. needs to be lightly wire brushed & recolored, & could make for a very nice coin

I would do the usual and soak it in 100% pure acetone. Becareful, it is flamable.

The interesting thing about this 67/67 is the broken O of "OF"
    (and S of "STATES"),
and the problem with the denticles above it,
and the lack of denticles from 7 to 10 o'clock.

Looks like the die was on its way out when it was struck.

Very cool late die state 67/67, yet the overdate is all there.

Definitely hit with some acetone and see what happens.

Acetone was no help. Any other ideas?

Strip it with Jewel-luster and hit it with some Deller's darkener. Or better yet, leave it be.

Send it to NCS. Would be worth the investment.

Paul, i would suggest that the only thing you should do is send it to NCS to see if they can help any. IMHO, suggestions to "Strip it with Jewel-luster and hit it with some Deller's darkener" or "enlist the svc's of a good coin dr. needs to be lightly wire brushed & recolored" are just irresponsible and should be ignored.
  • If sent to NCS, please post results when the coin is back. I'd be very curious to see how this one turns out.
