1886 $1 gold with statue of liberty? Help needed

I just got a call from the curator of a musem saying a woman in texas called her about a $1 gold coin she has. It's dated 1886 the a frontal picture of the bust of the statue of liberty on it. I immediately thought it was the 1986 $5 commem but the lady said it was a $1 coin with a frontal picture of the bust of the Statue of liberty. Markings on the coin are 1-10 AU 9.99

From that I told her it was probably a private mint 1/10 ounce . Any one have a picture of references to a private mint $1 dated 1886 ?

Thanks,

edit to add:
I found This and bet it is this lady's rare find. image

Panda America 100th Anniversary 1/10th. Can't imagine mistaking it for $1, but maybe thats how they saw the 100... dunno.

Well, if the statue was just being finished in 1886 I can't imagine a coin with the statue's image on it in 1886. It must be a modern issue, especially with the " 1/10 AU 9.99 ) on it.
