Having a tough time remembering (Ebay question)

Let's say in an Ebay store you have 20 of the exact same item in a single auction, with an inventory of 20 obviously. Each item costs $1. Using an Ebay calculator, it shows that the amount I would have left over is .20 (not including shipping fees in the total).

What I'm wondering is if a person purchases 5 of that item. Does Ebay charge 5 times and I'd be left with $1 (.20 x 5) or does Ebay charge based on the total amount of $5, which would give me $3.60?

Big difference, and knowing Ebay, I'm pretty sure which would one it is going to be . . .

I don't fully understand the question.

    But........

The insertion fees and final value fees are calculated the same as other fixed price listings.

Your final value fees are calculated per item – the same as other fixed price listings.

Can't help with an answer, but here is what the OP is asking:

He is asking about a Dutch auction/BIN.
If he is selling something that item quantity is 20 and I buy five of them at $1 each, are the fees calculated as a $5 sale or as five $1 sales.

Thanks Pops and Ali, the Ebay calculator answered the question.

Man, sometimes I just can't figure out a way to ask a question that makes sense to other people. Sure, it sounds understandable in my head . . .

Alifaxwa2, that is indeed what I was trying to ask, and secondly, yes, Dallas does suck image

    Thanks much guys!

  • You can pretty much assume that when calculating Ebays fees, the highest possible one is the correct one.
